Arroyo de la Miel is located around the railway station and is the administrative centre with all services; the majority of the city's residents live here. It was founded in the 18th century by the Italian Felix Solesio, who bought several plots of land to build paper factories. The main attraction of the resort is the Tivoli World amusement park. There are entertainment options for both children and adults, and show programmes are organised every evening. Benalmadena Costa stretches for 20 kilometres along the seashore – this is a tourist area. Hotels and beaches – there are 17 of them, all made of golden sand and fine pebbles, and the Paseo Maritimo promenade is decorated with mosaic paintings created by artists from various materials: stone, wood, metal and ceramics.

The only Luna Park on the Costa del Sol offers numerous and varied attractions, a permanent exhibition of rare birds, a stunt show, and a large singing fountain created by Russian specialists. Bil-Bil Castle hosts annual summer music and dance festivals. The renowned Colomares Architectural Complex, built in 1994, is dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's discovery of America.

Benalmádena is home to the Stupa of Enlightenment, a functioning Buddhist temple—the largest in Europe. It is the 17th and final stupa built by the architect Rinpoche Lopon Tsechu.

A five and a half kilometer cable car connects the city center with the highest point of Mount Calamorro (771 meters above sea level), at the top of which there is a nursery for birds of prey, the "Eagle Garden" - where you can see eagles, vultures, eagle owls, peregrine falcons, and perform shows with their participation. The Butterfly Park is home to 1,500 species from all over the world in a tropical climate created for them, on an area of ​​about 2,000 square meters. The Sea Life Marine Life Center will introduce you to the exotic inhabitants of the seas and oceans. Popular with locals and tourists, "La Paloma" Park attracts with its dense greenery, modern playgrounds, a lake with pelicans, and a collection of more than 450 species of cacti.
